Why ORIGIN isn't interested in making every coffee available forever.
Consistency is one of the defining ideas behind mass-market coffee.
The goal is simple: make today's cup taste exactly like yesterday's.
We see coffee differently.
Coffee is agricultural. Harvests change. Seasons change. Producers experiment. Exceptional lots appear — and eventually disappear.
We believe that should be celebrated rather than hidden.
Selection over scale
ORIGIN is built around individually selected releases.
Instead of creating one permanent blend designed to taste the same year after year, our coffees are presented as numbered origins.

Each release represents a particular place, harvest and expression of coffee.
When an exceptional lot is gone, the next chapter begins.
Why small lots?
Small lots allow us to focus on character.
They give producers the opportunity to separate distinctive coffees and give roasters the ability to preserve what makes them special.
For us, this means being selective.
We would rather release less coffee that genuinely deserves the ORIGIN name than expand simply for the sake of having more products.
Coffee with a beginning and an end
There is something valuable about knowing that a coffee will not exist forever.
A particular harvest belongs to a particular moment.
Once it is gone, it cannot simply be reproduced.
That idea sits at the centre of ORIGIN.
Not endless products.
Not endless availability.
Just coffees worth remembering.
